Springfield is a vibrant school at the heart of the community in Kempston with enthusiastic children, committed staff and a positive ethos. Many children are now second generation and parents enjoy sharing their memories of Springfield from years ago. The curriculum is very creative, thanks to our hard working staff and we pride ourselves on the number of visits and visitors which are planned into the Springfield calendar. We are a values school which means there is a focus on teaching twelve core values: respect, friendship, responsibility, happiness, honesty, love, co-operation, trust, thoughtfulness, patience and courage.
The school has a lively Reception Unit consisting of 3 classes 72 children, giving the children a great start in a class of 24.
The five Key Stage One (Year 1 and 2) are all mixed classes. This is intentional to teach the children nurturing skills from an early age.
Again the five Key Stage Two classes (Year 3 and 4) are also mixed. The children learn a little German as well as Italian and Mandarin.
The Springfield vision is: Working together – empowering learning.
If you would like to develop your outstanding teaching skills as part of a friendly and supportive team, please contact us – we would love to hear from you.
